It produces both a single malt whisky without smoke, which it bottles under its own name, and a smoky whisky, known as Old Ballantruan. The distillery is owned by Angus Dundee Distillers, which also operates the Glencadam distillery in the Highlands. Tomintoul Peated matured for an unspecified period in oak barrels.
